Rick Ober of Johnson Brother's Rides and Concessions works to put the finishing touches on the seven-story Ferris wheel as part of the week-long carnival offered by Martin Parks and Recreation.
The event kicked off Friday evening and will run through Saturday. Family night value packages will be offered tonight and Wednesday from 6 p.m. until close. Kid's Day will run from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday with Armband nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. until closing time.
Johnson Bros. is located out of El Dorado, Ark. and owners, Randy and James, spend the summer months traveling the Southeast setting up for parks and recreation departments for fund-raising. This year's carnival is located off of Hwy. 45 at the Martin Recreation Complex beside Westview High School.
