About the rideguy.com partner program Minimize

This area will outline most of our partner program for advertisers.  If the information available does not answer all your questions, please contact us via the form below.  Thank you.

The rideguy.com Partner Program is our premier advertising package here.  Included in a partnership with rideguy.com are several benefits outlined below:
  • Leaderboard Banner advertising on EVERY rideguy.com website page.  The Leaderboard is a randomized rotation of our partners banner ads, which link to a destination of the advertisers choice (see below).
  • Forum advertising in the form of "Reply Advertisements" - these are 468x60 half-banner ads that are displayed in random rotation throughout the rideguy.com forums.
  • A rideguy.com Partner Profile page - this page can be a basic company profile, or an 'about us' page for our partners.  Good examples of usage of this page would be an advertising flyer displayed as members click through to your own company website, or even a miniature website if you don't already have one (with contact and product information).  The Partner Profile page is a linkable option from your Leaderboard banner as well.
Future advertisement placement includes locations on the carnie social network as well.  We are currently gearing up our advertising program for the social network at these very moments, and more details will be coming soon!

About rideguy.com Minimize
rideguy.com was started as a personal website back in the late 1990's by secret.squirrel (nicknamed by Greg Maturo of Great American Shows).  Originally we were hosted on a shared hosting service, with only a couple pages in the site, mostly documenting my personal involvement in the amusement industry over the years.

As time progressed, the site grew slowly into a small portal featuring many aspects of the amusement industry, although content was limited by my ability to maintain internet access throughout the operating seasons.  Because of this, the site always suffered from lack of traffic and fresh content.

In the early 2000's, we took on hosting for the forums at Matt's Carnival Warehouse - this was a joint project between rideguy.com and MCW to further discussion and online presence for members of the amusement industry.  The forum project was a raging success with now over 1500 members and thousands of topics and replies posted over the last several years.  Since then, the forums have now moved back home to MCW's servers, and we have embarked on a new venture.

After we moved the forums back to MCW, we were left without a direction to go with the site.  As time progressed, the need for an internet resource for showpeople everywhere became more and more evident.  Owners needed access to technical data about equipment - vendors need a place to advertise and publicize their wares for our industry, and so on.  The current venture with our site has blossomed into a splitting of rideguy.com into rideguy.com and the carnie social network - both sites now create a universal way for industry members to not only meet and greet (through our social network) but to also locate technical information from a variety of sources as well as useful other sections of the site still being developed.

Currently, we have over 10 major projects on our roadmap, not to mention many dozens of unfinished little areas here and on the social network.  These sites are a living work in progress, somewhat like our industry itself.  We hope you enjoy the sites, and please let us know how we can better our internet presence for both our members and our visitors!

Thanks again for visiting rideguy.com and the carnie social network!
