If you are an active inside the Amusement Industry - be it owner, employee, operator or whatever, we do have special membership features available here at rideguy.com.  We're currently working on system to request the Industry Professionals role here, so that members can let us know who they are and get the extra access to areas such as the Technical Forums as well as the extra documentation and resources areas.  We are still building the content for these areas as well, so keep checking them out --

After many weeks of pondering the situation, we have decided rather than link to an existing network, we would create an ADDITIONAL social network for carnies around the world. You can access it here and sign yourself up. If you already have a Ning ID you can re-use it here and create your profile just as with ANY other Ning.com site. We will monitor this feature closely as we see what traffic it generates. Suggestions or comments can be posted in the forums here.

We've made some changes to the layout of some areas, and now should be in a position to get more content online and make some other features available as well --

In the saga of chat systems, we have made more progress -- there is now a way to reach the rideguy.com IRC channel directly from this site.  Registered members can go to the Chat link in the menu above and if you're logged in, you will see a drop-down appear that will take you to our Java based Chat client for IRC...  This is a small download, and the certificate will verify that the software is signed and un-altered.  Enjoy!

The photo gallery system is now online and should be running ok now.  Experienced a few minor bugs getting things rolling.  We've managed to reload all the rideguy.com galleries from the old site as well as a couple new galleries that were never added. 

We plan to use the new system to help showcase rides from all shows, sorted by the show that owns the equipment, then by the season in which the pictures were taken.  If you have pictures you would like to submit, send us an email and look into becoming a rideguy.com Content Provider.  Other benefits come with this role, so if you are interested, just let us know.
